Everything with LED and Solar Power is more expensive than usuall, there is just no way to get around it, however, the prices and technology is improving, it’s the future!

Nice feature, but indeed very expensive. I like the use of solar power, no doubt about that, but I don’t see the extra advantage of this compared to a regular rechargable solar-powered lantern.

Well, you’re probably right – there is way too much crap in the world – but I suppose someone on a hiking/camping trip could take full advantage of these features and save room in their pack by having a lantern and waterbottle in one item.
