A while back I made a velomobile that has bicycle pedals and a 27cc weed eater motor. It gets about 200mpg, and has a full body. While they're not meant to take the place of cars, they do relieve the wallet much so. It takes a few weeks to go through a gallon of gas with my velo,and it's bright yellow paint assures that it will be seen easily in traffic. This is a real solution, here! I think this is great!
