Why not just buy a box of crystals from Home Depot and the little plastic container that holds them? I use them in my basement and they work fine WITHOUT any electricity or re-chargable batteries. Also, a nit with the story, this device does NOT "save energy", it uses energy. Maybe it saves energy compared to a box fan, but you can't beat the no-fan crystals. I believe the brand I use is Damp-Rid.
