Led lights reduce energy costs up to 90% are cool to the touch and will last 25,000 hours on an average. Your can string multiple sets together as these are aproximately 8′ long and hold 30 blue and white snowflake LED lights.

I’m a big fan of these if you need new lights, but can they really “save energy” if you buy these and toss normal lights? (esp. the mini ones).

They should definitely save energy, but perhaps more importantly, they should last longer than one season. Hopefully they are built well enough to last and be reused. That’s probably the biggest travesty of Christmas lights, people buy them, use them for a couple weeks, then throw them away.
